Images arise in you of experiences that do not yet exist. You feel drawn to these imaginings as if they offered you a foretaste. Behind it lies the need to meet life with anticipation.
Gate 41 is connected with the theme of exploring possibilities in Human Design.
If the images remain only a dream, a quiet wistfulness can set in. Once one of them begins to become real, you feel how a new experience that nourishes you grows out of imagination.
The six lines
Line 1
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 41.1:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 41, the Gate of Fantasy. Pictures of experiences that have not happened yet form in you. Nearly everything new in your life begins in that pull.
You want to know your imagination from the ground up before you lean on it. A second-hand account rarely satisfies you, you go back yourself to the layer everything else rests on. Until that layer is clear, whatever stands on top of it feels borrowed to you. This is not caution, it is how you come to trust anything at all.
It tips when the pictures replace the living or when you carry an expectation to people that comes from a picture. One small real beginning releases the pressure. Security comes to you from what you have understood, not from what you have been promised. What you once worked through to the bottom still holds when things around you get unsettled. That is where your calm comes from.
When a picture leads you into a real experience, something comes of it you did not know before.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you pick one place where your imagination still rests on an assumption and follow it one layer deeper. Working slowly is no delay for you, it is how ground appears under your feet. In the evening you note in one sentence what you now actually understand. The rest can wait for another day.
Line 2
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 41.2:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 41, the Gate of Fantasy. Pictures of experiences that have not happened yet form in you. Nearly everything new in your life begins in that pull.
Your imagination comes to you without a run-up and without intention. You often notice only from the reactions of other people that something was unusual which felt entirely ordinary to you. Because it costs you so little, you tend to undervalue it. What comes easily is still worth something. In your case it is worth a great deal.
It tips when the pictures replace the living or when you carry an expectation to people that comes from a picture. One small real beginning releases the pressure. In between you need time in which nobody wants anything from you. What others read into you rarely matches what you find in yourself. The gap between the two is where most of your tiredness comes from.
When a picture leads you into a real experience, something comes of it you did not know before.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you watch for when a call from outside actually means your imagination and when it only carries what someone else expects of you. You let the first call wait an hour before you answer. A no to the wrong request keeps your energy free for the right one. Nobody is owed your immediate yes.
Line 3
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 41.3:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 41, the Gate of Fantasy. Pictures of experiences that have not happened yet form in you. Nearly everything new in your life begins in that pull.
You find out nothing about your imagination without having tried it. What convinces you on paper you would rather test early against the resistance of reality than late. Other people sometimes see disorder in this. What looks like detour from outside is the only road on which your kind of knowledge is made.
It tips when the pictures replace the living or when you carry an expectation to people that comes from a picture. One small real beginning releases the pressure. Your path rarely runs straight. An attempt that does not work takes nothing from you, it cuts off a possibility you would otherwise have carried around for years. Every closed door narrows the field in a useful way.
When a picture leads you into a real experience, something comes of it you did not know before.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you run one small experiment with your imagination whose outcome you do not know. Afterwards you look less at the result than at what you now know and did not know before. A small failure costs little. An untested assumption can cost you years.
Line 4
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 41.4:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 41, the Gate of Fantasy. Pictures of experiences that have not happened yet form in you. Nearly everything new in your life begins in that pull.
Your imagination works through the people who already know you. With strangers you need a run-up, inside a trusted circle the essential part almost falls into place by itself. A room full of unknown faces costs you more than an hour with three people who have known you for years. That is not shyness, it is where your ground lies.
It tips when the pictures replace the living or when you carry an expectation to people that comes from a picture. One small real beginning releases the pressure. A circle that carries you grows out of reliability rather than numbers. You give first and receive later, often from a side you had not counted on. Keeping the circle in good repair is itself part of your work.
When a picture leads you into a real experience, something comes of it you did not know before.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you turn to one person in your circle and tell them what you are working on. You ask for no favour, you simply share your imagination with someone you trust. An opening comes more often from that telling than from any effort made alone. Let the conversation be the point.
Line 5
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 41.5:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 41, the Gate of Fantasy. Pictures of experiences that have not happened yet form in you. Nearly everything new in your life begins in that pull.
People expect a solution from you as soon as your imagination becomes visible. Part of that expectation fits you exactly, another part belongs to a picture someone has put up in front of you. Telling the two apart is the work of your life. Nobody else can do it for you, because from outside the two look identical.
It tips when the pictures replace the living or when you carry an expectation to people that comes from a picture. One small real beginning releases the pressure. Between rescuer and disappointment there is only one step for you. The difference is decided beforehand, in the moment you agree or let it pass. Saying less than you could is often the safer trade.
When a picture leads you into a real experience, something comes of it you did not know before.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you check one request to see whether it really means your imagination or a picture somebody holds of you. You agree where you can deliver and you say openly where the expectation reaches beyond you. A clearly drawn line protects your standing better than any promise. Vagueness is what costs you later.
Line 6
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 41.6:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 41, the Gate of Fantasy. Pictures of experiences that have not happened yet form in you. Nearly everything new in your life begins in that pull.
Your imagination changes shape in you over the years. First comes a long stretch of experience, then a distance in which things sort themselves and finally a calm that others come to you for. Each stretch has its own kind of work. Treating one of them as though it were another is where most of the strain comes from.
It tips when the pictures replace the living or when you carry an expectation to people that comes from a picture. One small real beginning releases the pressure. What you live counts for more with you than what you say. Your standing grows not from intent but from the fact that you walked through what you speak about. People sense the difference without being able to name it.
When a picture leads you into a real experience, something comes of it you did not know before.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you ask which stretch you are standing in and treat it accordingly. In the middle of experience you gather without drawing conclusions yet. At a distance you sort things out and where you have long since come through, you pass your imagination on quietly. No stretch is wasted time.

Right Angle Cross of the Unexpected
Furthest forward sits a spark out of which a new beginning grows, long before it is clear where it leads. Behind it stands a voice people listen to when it is asked for. Underneath work the question of what an effort is worth and an impulse to feed other people. What comes of it is someone around whom things begin without their having planned it.
When you wake up in the morning, a whole undertaking is sometimes already there, with images and with appetite. When you tell it straight away, it gets smaller rather than bigger. And when you go a while without such a spark, you feel empty even though everything is running on the outside.
The right angle means this beginning comes out of you. Others join in, they did not light it. If you do not recognise yourself here, that says something about the picture and nothing about you.
Juxtaposition Cross of Fantasy
A spark that invents an adventure before there is one. Add a voice with weight, a body that reads people and a mind that thinks in rounds. Together that makes an inner world constantly painting something. Some of it really does begin later, most of it stays a picture and is not wasted for that.
When you sit on a train, you have played through three lives in twenty minutes. When somebody asks what you are thinking about, the answer sounds flatter than the feeling. And when you try to make something of it at once, it wilts in your hands.
Juxtaposition means this source is fixed. It does not ask whether there is time for it right now. If none of this fits, it is the picture that is off and not you.
Left Angle Cross of the Alpha
A spark for what is new, a voice with weight, an eye for people and a thinking in rounds. For you alone that would be a rich inner life. In a group it turns into something else: you are out in front before anybody put you there.
When you walk into a room where nobody starts, you start. When somebody later asks who actually decided that, it was you and nobody noticed. And when you hold back, the group waits and the evening turns heavy.
The left angle means this position comes about in the encounter. Alone you would simply be somebody with ideas. If you do not recognise yourself here, that says something about the picture and nothing about you.
