Community guidelines

Please note: this is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the German version at /community-richtlinien prevails.

Soul Resonance is a place for self-knowledge and for encounters based on resonance. To keep it that way, the following rules apply to everyone who uses Soul Resonance. They supplement our terms and form part of them.

1. Respect

• Treat others the way you would like to be treated: kindly, honestly and attentively.
• No means no. Anyone who does not reply, dissolves a match or blocks you owes you no explanation.
• No insults, no threats, no disparagement because of origin, skin colour, religion, belief, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or appearance.
• No stalking: once someone has ended contact, do not keep writing to them through other channels, other accounts or third parties.

2. No harassment and no sexual content without consent

• Sexual allusions, pictures or requests only if the other person has expressly agreed. Unsolicited sexual images are not allowed and may be a criminal offence.
• No nudity and no sexual depictions in profile pictures, profile texts or voice recordings.
• No pressure, no blackmail and no passing on of private pictures or messages to third parties.

3. Be genuine

• One account per person, under your own first name and with your own birth data.
• Profile pictures show you, are current and not altered so much that you cannot be recognised. No pictures of other people, no celebrities, no children in a dating profile.
• No false identity, no pretending to be of a different age, marital status or profession in order to deceive someone.

4. Protection of children and young people

• Soul Resonance is for people aged 18 and over. Anyone younger may not hold an account.
• Children may only be added as a contact by their parents or other persons with parental responsibility.
• Any form of sexual content involving minors, any attempt to initiate contact with minors and any attempt to obtain or distribute such content leads to immediate permanent suspension. We report such cases to the law enforcement authorities.

5. No fraud, no advertising

• Do not ask anyone for money, gifts, bank details or investments, and never respond to such requests.
• No advertising, no selling, no recruiting for other platforms, groups or business models, no chain letters.
• No links to malware or to pages that harvest sign-in details.

6. Care with other people's data and interpretations

• Add other people to your circle only for a good reason and with respect.
• Do not publish evaluations about others, and never use interpretations against a person, for example to judge, shame or pressure them.
• Interpretations are prompts for reflection, not judgements about a person. This also applies to compatibility scores.

7. Reporting

If you see something that violates these rules or the law, report it to us. This is how:

• In a profile or chat via "Report". The reported person is then blocked for you and any existing match is dissolved. If there is a chat, we automatically save the latest messages as evidence; you can attach pictures, such as screenshots, yourself. Each report creates a ticket under "Feedback", through which we ask follow-up questions and tell you our decision.
• Without an account or for other content by email to contactk‍o‍s‍m‍o‍s@soulresonance.ch. Please state what it is about, where the content is (address or profile), why in your view it is illegal or violates these rules, and your name and email address, and confirm that your details are correct to the best of your knowledge. For reports about content involving minors, your name is not required.
• In immediate danger contact the police first (in Switzerland and Liechtenstein 117, in the EU 112).

We confirm receipt of a report, have every report reviewed by a person, carefully and without arbitrariness, and tell you our decision. Abusive reports that are knowingly false may themselves lead to a suspension.

8. Consequences of a violation

Depending on severity and repetition, we may:

• remove content or a picture and ask you to replace it,
• warn you,
• pause dating mode, so that your profile no longer appears in the feed and you cannot start new matches or chats; self-discovery remains available,
• suspend or delete your account temporarily or permanently,
• inform authorities where the law requires it or there is a danger to others.

We decide case by case and proportionately. People affected receive reasons, unless the law prohibits it or the reasons would endanger others. In the case of serious violations (violence, threats, sexual harassment, fraud, any suspicion of exploitation of minors) we suspend immediately.

9. Appeal

If you disagree with a decision, whether as the reporting or the affected person, write to us within six months through the form under "Feedback" or by email. A person reviews the case again and tells you the result. Your right to go to a court or an authority remains unaffected.

10. If you are not doing well

If you are in a crisis, you will find helpline numbers for Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany and Austria in our terms, section 6. In Switzerland you can reach Die Dargebotene Hand on 143.

11. Changes

We adapt these guidelines when the community or the law requires it. The version with the date shown at the top of this page applies.
