Images and memories move through you in confusion, often without any recognisable order. You experience this abundance as bewildering and at the same time rich in possibilities. Behind it stands the need for the confusion to come together into meaning over time.
Gate 64 is connected with the theme of sorting impressions in Human Design.
When you press for order before it is ready, the confusion grows. Once you give the images time, they often suddenly come together into an insight that surprises you.
The six lines
Line 1
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 64.1:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 64, the Gate of Confusion. Images and memories run through each other in your head without your being able to order them. Out of that jumble the insight comes later.
You want to know your stream of images from the ground up before you lean on it. A second-hand account rarely satisfies you, you go back yourself to the layer everything else rests on. Until that layer is clear, whatever stands on top of it feels borrowed to you. This is not caution, it is how you come to trust anything at all.
It becomes too much when the stream overwhelms you and you want to stop it. Doing something with your hands while it runs on in your head makes the pressure bearable. Security comes to you from what you have understood, not from what you have been promised. What you once worked through to the bottom still holds when things around you get unsettled. That is where your calm comes from.
When you trust that the jumble clears by itself, the insight arrives in its own time.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you pick one place where your stream of images still rests on an assumption and follow it one layer deeper. Working slowly is no delay for you, it is how ground appears under your feet. In the evening you note in one sentence what you now actually understand. The rest can wait for another day.
Line 2
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 64.2:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 64, the Gate of Confusion. Images and memories run through each other in your head without your being able to order them. Out of that jumble the insight comes later.
Your stream of images comes to you without a run-up and without intention. You often notice only from the reactions of other people that something was unusual which felt entirely ordinary to you. Because it costs you so little, you tend to undervalue it. What comes easily is still worth something. In your case it is worth a great deal.
It becomes too much when the stream overwhelms you and you want to stop it. Doing something with your hands while it runs on in your head makes the pressure bearable. In between you need time in which nobody wants anything from you. What others read into you rarely matches what you find in yourself. The gap between the two is where most of your tiredness comes from.
When you trust that the jumble clears by itself, the insight arrives in its own time.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you watch for when a call from outside actually means your stream of images and when it only carries what someone else expects of you. You let the first call wait an hour before you answer. A no to the wrong request keeps your energy free for the right one. Nobody is owed your immediate yes.
Line 3
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 64.3:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 64, the Gate of Confusion. Images and memories run through each other in your head without your being able to order them. Out of that jumble the insight comes later.
You find out nothing about your stream of images without having tried it. What convinces you on paper you would rather test early against the resistance of reality than late. Other people sometimes see disorder in this. What looks like detour from outside is the only road on which your kind of knowledge is made.
It becomes too much when the stream overwhelms you and you want to stop it. Doing something with your hands while it runs on in your head makes the pressure bearable. Your path rarely runs straight. An attempt that does not work takes nothing from you, it cuts off a possibility you would otherwise have carried around for years. Every closed door narrows the field in a useful way.
When you trust that the jumble clears by itself, the insight arrives in its own time.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you run one small experiment with your stream of images whose outcome you do not know. Afterwards you look less at the result than at what you now know and did not know before. A small failure costs little. An untested assumption can cost you years.
Line 4
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 64.4:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 64, the Gate of Confusion. Images and memories run through each other in your head without your being able to order them. Out of that jumble the insight comes later.
Your stream of images works through the people who already know you. With strangers you need a run-up, inside a trusted circle the essential part almost falls into place by itself. A room full of unknown faces costs you more than an hour with three people who have known you for years. That is not shyness, it is where your ground lies.
It becomes too much when the stream overwhelms you and you want to stop it. Doing something with your hands while it runs on in your head makes the pressure bearable. A circle that carries you grows out of reliability rather than numbers. You give first and receive later, often from a side you had not counted on. Keeping the circle in good repair is itself part of your work.
When you trust that the jumble clears by itself, the insight arrives in its own time.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you turn to one person in your circle and tell them what you are working on. You ask for no favour, you simply share your stream of images with someone you trust. An opening comes more often from that telling than from any effort made alone. Let the conversation be the point.
Line 5
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 64.5:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 64, the Gate of Confusion. Images and memories run through each other in your head without your being able to order them. Out of that jumble the insight comes later.
People expect a solution from you as soon as your stream of images becomes visible. Part of that expectation fits you exactly, another part belongs to a picture someone has put up in front of you. Telling the two apart is the work of your life. Nobody else can do it for you, because from outside the two look identical.
It becomes too much when the stream overwhelms you and you want to stop it. Doing something with your hands while it runs on in your head makes the pressure bearable. Between rescuer and disappointment there is only one step for you. The difference is decided beforehand, in the moment you agree or let it pass. Saying less than you could is often the safer trade.
When you trust that the jumble clears by itself, the insight arrives in its own time.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you check one request to see whether it really means your stream of images or a picture somebody holds of you. You agree where you can deliver and you say openly where the expectation reaches beyond you. A clearly drawn line protects your standing better than any promise. Vagueness is what costs you later.
Line 6
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 64.6:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 64, the Gate of Confusion. Images and memories run through each other in your head without your being able to order them. Out of that jumble the insight comes later.
Your stream of images changes shape in you over the years. First comes a long stretch of experience, then a distance in which things sort themselves and finally a calm that others come to you for. Each stretch has its own kind of work. Treating one of them as though it were another is where most of the strain comes from.
It becomes too much when the stream overwhelms you and you want to stop it. Doing something with your hands while it runs on in your head makes the pressure bearable. What you live counts for more with you than what you say. Your standing grows not from intent but from the fact that you walked through what you speak about. People sense the difference without being able to name it.
When you trust that the jumble clears by itself, the insight arrives in its own time.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you ask which stretch you are standing in and treat it accordingly. In the middle of experience you gather without drawing conclusions yet. At a distance you sort things out and where you have long since come through, you pass your stream of images on quietly. No stretch is wasted time.
Incarnation crosses with Gate 64 as Sun gate
Right Angle Cross of Consciousness
Right at the front lies a fog of loose ends. Images, fragments, half memories, all at once and without order. Behind it a doubt that tests, along with the hunger for experience and a firm beat that carries you through the days. What comes of it is a mind in which something sorts itself as soon as it is left alone.
When you try to dissolve the fog by thinking, it gets thicker. When you do something else, the picture is suddenly there, whole and finished. And when you understand nothing at the moment, you take it for a failure although it is only the stage before.
The right angle means this process comes out of you. Others only see the result. If you do not recognise yourself here, that says something about the picture and nothing about you.
Juxtaposition Cross of Confusion
A fog that belongs to the build. Add a doubt that tests, a gathering around a shared thing and the art of persuading. Out of that comes a tone that can bear the unclear. What is a state for others that has to be ended quickly is an ordinary Wednesday for you.
When you sit with a piece of work, for a long time you have no idea where it leads. When somebody asks you how it is going, you sound unsure although you have moved on. And when the picture is there, everybody wonders how it went so fast.
Juxtaposition means this state is fixed. It is not a mess in your head, it is build. If none of this fits, it is the picture that is off and not you.
Left Angle Cross of Dominion
A fog of loose ends, a testing doubt, a gathering of people and a knack for persuading. For you alone that would be a restless mind. Among people it becomes an area where you have the say: you can bear an unclarity that others cannot bear and so they wait for you.
When a group is stuck, it goes quiet and everybody looks at you. When you then say that it will take a while longer, they believe you. And when you lose patience yourself, the group loses it too.
The left angle means this theme comes about at other people. Alone the fog would only be yours. If you do not recognise yourself here, that says something about the picture and nothing about you.
