You experience the world above all through your body, through movement, posture and the feeling of being in the right place. When you are at home in your body, you feel turned towards life. Your need is to accept yourself in your own form.
Gate 46 is connected with the theme of noticing the body in Human Design.
When you fight against your body, much feels laborious. Once you perceive it kindly, you notice how happiness often arrives simply because you are fully present.
The six lines
Line 1
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 46.1:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 46, the Gate of Self-Determination. You are at home in your body and take in through it what a day brings you. Being in the right place at the right time happens to you more often than to others.
You want to know your trust in the body from the ground up before you lean on it. A second-hand account rarely satisfies you, you go back yourself to the layer everything else rests on. Until that layer is clear, whatever stands on top of it feels borrowed to you. This is not caution, it is how you come to trust anything at all.
It gets exhausting when you forget the body over your thinking or avoid every discomfort. A movement that asks something of you brings you back. Security comes to you from what you have understood, not from what you have been promised. What you once worked through to the bottom still holds when things around you get unsettled. That is where your calm comes from.
When you trust your body, a day carries you to places you had not planned for.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you pick one place where your trust in the body still rests on an assumption and follow it one layer deeper. Working slowly is no delay for you, it is how ground appears under your feet. In the evening you note in one sentence what you now actually understand. The rest can wait for another day.
Line 2
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 46.2:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 46, the Gate of Self-Determination. You are at home in your body and take in through it what a day brings you. Being in the right place at the right time happens to you more often than to others.
Your trust in the body comes to you without a run-up and without intention. You often notice only from the reactions of other people that something was unusual which felt entirely ordinary to you. Because it costs you so little, you tend to undervalue it. What comes easily is still worth something. In your case it is worth a great deal.
It gets exhausting when you forget the body over your thinking or avoid every discomfort. A movement that asks something of you brings you back. In between you need time in which nobody wants anything from you. What others read into you rarely matches what you find in yourself. The gap between the two is where most of your tiredness comes from.
When you trust your body, a day carries you to places you had not planned for.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you watch for when a call from outside actually means your trust in the body and when it only carries what someone else expects of you. You let the first call wait an hour before you answer. A no to the wrong request keeps your energy free for the right one. Nobody is owed your immediate yes.
Line 3
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 46.3:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 46, the Gate of Self-Determination. You are at home in your body and take in through it what a day brings you. Being in the right place at the right time happens to you more often than to others.
You find out nothing about your trust in the body without having tried it. What convinces you on paper you would rather test early against the resistance of reality than late. Other people sometimes see disorder in this. What looks like detour from outside is the only road on which your kind of knowledge is made.
It gets exhausting when you forget the body over your thinking or avoid every discomfort. A movement that asks something of you brings you back. Your path rarely runs straight. An attempt that does not work takes nothing from you, it cuts off a possibility you would otherwise have carried around for years. Every closed door narrows the field in a useful way.
When you trust your body, a day carries you to places you had not planned for.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you run one small experiment with your trust in the body whose outcome you do not know. Afterwards you look less at the result than at what you now know and did not know before. A small failure costs little. An untested assumption can cost you years.
Line 4
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 46.4:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 46, the Gate of Self-Determination. You are at home in your body and take in through it what a day brings you. Being in the right place at the right time happens to you more often than to others.
Your trust in the body works through the people who already know you. With strangers you need a run-up, inside a trusted circle the essential part almost falls into place by itself. A room full of unknown faces costs you more than an hour with three people who have known you for years. That is not shyness, it is where your ground lies.
It gets exhausting when you forget the body over your thinking or avoid every discomfort. A movement that asks something of you brings you back. A circle that carries you grows out of reliability rather than numbers. You give first and receive later, often from a side you had not counted on. Keeping the circle in good repair is itself part of your work.
When you trust your body, a day carries you to places you had not planned for.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you turn to one person in your circle and tell them what you are working on. You ask for no favour, you simply share your trust in the body with someone you trust. An opening comes more often from that telling than from any effort made alone. Let the conversation be the point.
Line 5
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 46.5:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 46, the Gate of Self-Determination. You are at home in your body and take in through it what a day brings you. Being in the right place at the right time happens to you more often than to others.
People expect a solution from you as soon as your trust in the body becomes visible. Part of that expectation fits you exactly, another part belongs to a picture someone has put up in front of you. Telling the two apart is the work of your life. Nobody else can do it for you, because from outside the two look identical.
It gets exhausting when you forget the body over your thinking or avoid every discomfort. A movement that asks something of you brings you back. Between rescuer and disappointment there is only one step for you. The difference is decided beforehand, in the moment you agree or let it pass. Saying less than you could is often the safer trade.
When you trust your body, a day carries you to places you had not planned for.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you check one request to see whether it really means your trust in the body or a picture somebody holds of you. You agree where you can deliver and you say openly where the expectation reaches beyond you. A clearly drawn line protects your standing better than any promise. Vagueness is what costs you later.
Line 6
If your conscious Sun is in Gate 46.6:
Your conscious Sun sits in Gate 46, the Gate of Self-Determination. You are at home in your body and take in through it what a day brings you. Being in the right place at the right time happens to you more often than to others.
Your trust in the body changes shape in you over the years. First comes a long stretch of experience, then a distance in which things sort themselves and finally a calm that others come to you for. Each stretch has its own kind of work. Treating one of them as though it were another is where most of the strain comes from.
It gets exhausting when you forget the body over your thinking or avoid every discomfort. A movement that asks something of you brings you back. What you live counts for more with you than what you say. Your standing grows not from intent but from the fact that you walked through what you speak about. People sense the difference without being able to name it.
When you trust your body, a day carries you to places you had not planned for.
Your impulse for daily life: Today you ask which stretch you are standing in and treat it accordingly. In the middle of experience you gather without drawing conclusions yet. At a distance you sort things out and where you have long since come through, you pass your trust in the body on quietly. No stretch is wasted time.
Incarnation crosses with Gate 46 as Sun gate
Right Angle Cross of the Vessel of Love
At the very top stands a relationship to your own body that goes beyond feeling well. The body is a place here where things fall into line. Behind it lies an affection that does not ask what for. Underneath a wide span between much and little and a quiet yes to your own nature. What comes of it is a life in which lucky turns do not look accidental.
When you are in the right place, things happen that nobody could have planned. When you force yourself to be where your body does not want to go, the same week goes wrong. And when somebody asks you for the reason, you have none you could explain.
The right angle means this unfolds out of your own path. Others are present when it happens. If none of this fits, it is the picture that is off and not you.
Juxtaposition Cross of Serendipity
A body that knows where it wants to be. Add an affection without conditions, a stillness that sees what matters and a joy that needs no occasion. Out of that comes a tone that finds a lot in small things. A walk to work is enough to make your day good.
When you move in the morning, the whole day is a different one. When you only sit for two weeks, everything turns heavy without anything having changed on the outside. And when somebody tells you about their anger, you say something simple that settles them.
Juxtaposition means this tone is fixed. It is not good humour, it is build. If you do not recognise yourself here, that says something about the picture and nothing about you.
Left Angle Cross of Healing
A body as a place, an affection without conditions, a stillness and a joy in being alive. Alone that is a quiet wealth. Among people it turns into something others call soothing: near you somebody feels the tension drop from their shoulders without your doing anything for it.
When you sit across from somebody who is churned up, they slow down without your wanting it. When you are churned up yourself, it does not happen and you notice at once. And when too many people want this from you, you need a day to yourself.
The left angle means this theme comes about in the encounter. Alone it would stay your own wellbeing. If none of this fits, it is the picture that is off and not you.
